Ashley is the creative genius behind Just Baked. A busy mom of four boys, Ashley spends her evenings and weekends whipping up the most amazing masterpieces – some so detailed it breaks your heart to make the first cut.

We’ve done store bought cakes, and the “made by mom” cakes (that somehow never turn out like I’ve imagined them) but for my sons 6th birthday I was looking for something pretty specific in terms of a cake. This is where Ashley came in. I contacted her with an idea, a few images I had gathered from the internet, the number of people I needed to feed and I let her do what she does best. I couldn’t have been happier with the result!

Our party was based on the movie the Lorax, with all activities, food and decorations drawn from both the book and the movie. All I asked was that she try to incorporate a few main elements from the movie in to the cake – the truffula trees and the Lorax himself the rest was up to her.

The day I picked it up I was astonished by what she had created. Everything was edible! She perfectly captured the whimsy of the Lorax and truffula trees. The icing was fantastic.; so light and fluffy, a welcome change from heavy buttercream. Overall, the cake was a hit! The children devoured it!
