Has anyone used this approach, did you like it or not like? did your child benefit and grow with using these tools?

A friend has seen great results using matman with her daughters.

I'm looking for feedback (good or bad). I think using the lines and curves is a good place to ds on his way to learning the alphabet and how the letters are 'made' :)

I think this is the approach that J's teacher uses....I've heard of mat man before when we're doing his homework..
