We have my sil 16th birthday tonight. As usual a last minute invite to the in laws house. So what do you buy a 16 yr old girl for her birthday? WE are not close and neither is hubby with her.

HELP!

Truthfully I would go the gift card route to movies theatre or to a mall close to her. Really hard age to buy for .

I agree with the gift card too.

We stopped buying for the neices and nephews at 16, my SIL has BDay parties for them every year which is ridiculous.

Stuff from Ardene might be nice (& not expensive)

Honestly? Do they normally exchange gifts? (guessing not!) If it is not something they normally do, I'd just pickup a card for birthday wishes and leave it at that. At 16, she's old enough to understand that it's not about the presents, but about family getting together to celebrate the day.

True Kristina...you know that family and what they are like. I went and got a card and I think we will leave it at that.

Not like I really want to go anyways but oh well. Have an excuse to leave when breanna starts to fuss.
